  • Sterling silver, like brass, tarnishes over time due to contact with water, sweat, lotions, and perfumes... It is therefore always best to remove your jewelry before showering, exercising, or applying lotion.

    Vermeil is a durable and sturdy material that, like filled gold, has the appearance of gold at a fraction of the price. L’AUNE vermeil jewelry features a 3-micron layer of 14k gold over a sterling silver base. Much more durable than standard plating (which is 0.5 microns thick), vermeil still requires careful handling to preserve the gold layer.

    A transparent protective layer is applied to brass (also known as yellow bronze) to slow down oxidation.
